rescuers of jews

Matiukevič (Maciukiewicz) Konstantin (Konstanty)

Konstantin Matiukevich lived in the Swientojansk village, also known under the name of St John‘s village, at the territory of current Belarus. He gave an especially warm welcome to the fugitives from Lithuania and advised them to head for the Grodna, still not a dangerous place for Jews. He also made sure that the Kuklianskis reach that place safely – by paths in the woods, with trustworthy companions.
