AFFIDAVID
I, the undersigned, MICHNOVSKI, bearer of identity card of the State of Israel Nr. 292192, residing at 18, Nathan Street, city of Ramat Gan, Israel, after having been warned to tell only the truth, and that I'll be punished according to the laws of Israel if I'll not do so, declare hereunder as follows:
1.I have been born and lived in Lithuania all the years before the second world war, and also in the time of the war. At the time.................I was hidden because of the persecution and annihilation of Jews in Lithuania by the nazis.
2.I know personally well Mr. STASYS JUCEVICIUS, now known as STANLY JUCEVICIUS, residing at present in Toronto, Canada, with whom I was in friendship for many years before the second world war in Lithuania, and also his family was in very friendly relations with my family and mother's family.
3.In 1941-1944 when I was hidden with my wife from nazi persecution and danger of life to me and my present wife-Riva nee Girstein- our good friend the above mentioned Stanly Jucevicius was in steady contact with us in our places of hiding, and under danger of life to himself – he helped me and my wife with everything possible, so as to keep us alive, and also found from time to time places where we could be hidden from nazi annihilation.
4.Not only my wife and myself were under his protection and enjoyed his help – but many other, among them at that time young children from Jewish parents who also looked for a place of refuge from nazi annihilation. So as at present Miss Ruth Pilitovsky-Ban-Bor(?) and others, now in Israel.
5.Mr Stanly Jucevicius – the above mentioned together with his friend Baltutis V. - residing now in Canada, Newmarket, ONT, also from Lithuanian origin – extended to us and other Jews at that time under approach towards the victims of nazi regime, without getting any pay or any other consideration but for human reasons and driven by good spirit of humanity and old friendship.
6.Stanly Jucevicius supplied me also with a compass at that time a valuble instrument in my place of hiding.
