The genocide of Lithuanian Jews is the greatest tragedy in the history of Lithuania. About 200,000 Lithuanian Jews were killed during the Nazi occupation. It is more than 90 percent of the pre-war Lithuanian Jewish population. Thus, the Lithuanian Jewish community, which was famous for its rich culture, talented and industrious people, was annihilated.
