Rescuers of Jews

The Domicele and Tomas Gaurilavicius family had a farm in the Rubezaiciu village in Telsiai district. Povilas ir Stanislava Vagnorius family were their nearest neighbours. So, in 1943 Jehoshua and Chaim Shohot were hiding in Vagnorius family, and their mother lived in Gaurilavicius family. Because of the safety reasons all the members of the Shochot family had to change their rescuers families several times. If in this rescuers chain good and reliable people could not be found at the moment required, Reizl Shochot and her sons Chaim and Jehoshua could not survive.
