Rescuers of Jews

At the war-time Kazys Gustas together with his parents lived in the village Pabarupe not far from Kedainiai. He helped much to the persecuted Jews – hid Josel Lison (died in Israel, Qiryat Ata), Chaja Kedanskyte-Lisoniene (lives in Israel), Chaim Ronder (died in Kaunas 1964). Almost all villagers of Pabarupe, Pedziai (Kedainiai district) helped these people to survive. Kazys Gustas in 1943 helped to obtain weapons to Lison and Chaim Rodner who went to the partisans.
